A client sent me a text at 8:15 on Monday night asking if I could perform a miracle. His wife’s birthday was coming up on Wednesday, and he wanted to surprise her by doing something different this year. He wanted to create an elegant outdoor dining experience at his home. And of course, I said “let’s go for it!”

Working off of a picture he sent as inspiration, I had done a lot of research for another event and knew what the client liked. I made sure all the rentals were available, called a florist to get some blooms and greenery, made a list of all the supplies I would need, and after a lot of running around town, we were able to pull this amazing party together in less than 48 hours.

When people ask me why planners can cost so much, I can understand why. Most people do not see the work we put into an event, before it ever happens. Clients are not only paying for someone to plan and oversee their event, but also for all of the research, experience and education that benefits them in so many ways.

I am so thankful for my job and enjoy every minute I spend making someone’s dreams come true!
